UNSOLVED: Alicia Showalter Reynolds
In March of 1996, 25-year-old Alicia Showalter Reynolds missed an appointment to meet her mother at the mall to go shopping. Hours passed and Alicia never showed.
Her abandoned vehicle was found on the shoulder of Route 29 in Virginia, and her remains were found a few miles away just two months later.
The news of Alicia’s murder traveled quickly, bringing forth witnesses who recalled seeing her pulled over on Route 29 with her car hood up, conversing with a man. More than 20 women came forward reporting interactions with a similar man on or near Route 29 in Virginia, bringing investigators to wonder if Alicia had been the victim of a serial killer.
